Mithila region of Bihar witnesses a cultural fair that sees thousands of Brahmins from the Maithil community come together to engage in a rather, unusual trade. Known as the Saurath Sabha , the sole purpose of this fair is to bring people under one roof, to negotiate marriages for their sons and daughters. <br /> <br />बिहार के मिथिलांचल क्षेत्र में 'सौराठ सभा' यानी दूल्हों का मेला या फिर कहे की दूल्हों की मंडी , प्राचीन काल से लगती आयी है । यह परंपरा आज भी कायम है। आधुनिक युग में इसकी महत्ता थोड़ी काम ज़रूर हो गयी है पर ये परंपरा आज भी कायम है |
